From Air port to St Cstherines is a long way. There are more than one ways to get there : other members can suggest which is best option :

1. take GO bus from airport to st catherines. http://www.gotransit.com/publicroot/en/travelling/citylocations.aspx

or

2. look up or post in rides section of few web sites that u need ride on this date , at this time, and someone can quote u.

classified in canadian desi under ride option
or under craig list...

Brand new computers in Dubai were more expensive than in Canada. But when the taxes are added, it will be closer to the Duty free stuff. But the 12 month warranty you will be getting here will be better here than the one from Dubai. You will have to do the analysis right on the spot there at the Airport and take your chances. Refurbished ones are half the price currently. But they might be slow in coming to the display shelves. Post the request for one with specs here.

The phone query has been answered. You will have to find the G3 or the WiFi areas after you land here and test it out.

What to Bring: St.Catherines is the Garden City of Ontario. You will be living in the Banana Belt. Summers are great. So also winters. This year was good. But you always get a lot of help from Buffalo in the winters. They get buried DEEP. So expect a lot of the white stuff drifting from your Southern neighbor. Bring in warm clothes to take care of yourself.

Your Passport, The Student Permit to study. The funds in Canadian Dollar to support you for the duration of studies. If you have paid the fees already, then the proof of payment. Your Birth Certificate. All your educational papers and awards in the Original form. Your medicines that you take, in a see through Plastic Bag with a prescription from your Doctor. Prescription for your glasses, if you wear them. Any medical records that you might need here, in case of exigencies. If there are any goods to follow, then copies in duplicate and the shipping mode with way bill. Your contact list and references, if any, at both the ends. Anything sentimental that you cherish, having an item from back home. A suit to wear for formal occasions and your National Garb for special occasions. Also An introduction from your local banker. If you drive, the Driver's License and if you are a member of IAA, then an international Driver's License. (IDL) Please validate it at your end from the DTO/MTO. Office.

Contact the Brock University and get the exact details needed from you for the enrollment. Don' forget to bring them too.

Freddie.

If you have any "Business" Calculators, and one with Black Scholes formulae you will find it very handy. They expect you to still do the cramming of the formulae in the initial stages.
