Hi all,
Would like to share my experience and also would like someone to help me with some questions. Here are the events
1. Downloaded forms and applied for canada in jan 2002
2. Received file number in february 2002
3. Married in june 2002 and changed my resident address in dec 2002, informed them in feb 2003
4. Recieved a letter from CIC, very similar to the first one (acknowledgement of application & file number) sent earlier with details of process, etc in december 2002 (after change of rules/passmark).
4. Got my info updated on web page (e-client application status) in feb 2004 (i could finally see my resident address changed to new one!!! however no official letter recieved).
5. Changed the job sent again a letter to update the info in March 2004
6. Shifted to USA on H1B in April 2004. Don't know what to do next.
My question:
1. Should I inform them that I am in usa (i have been transferred to same group of company?)
2. Should I take IELTS? I have send them proofs like letters from school/college which underlines my education in English Medium. Will that be enough?
3. Should I fill up new forms? I heard they insist on filling up new forms.
4. HOW LONG FROM HERE? Has anyone who has applied around the same time, got some positive news to share?
Thanks in advance. I really appreciate for the efforts to read the story!!! Will be happy if you can reply some of the above questions.
Best Wishes,
Picaso
Yes, you have to write IELTS and also submit the new set of forms. It is given at the CIC website. In the new form you can put details about your new addresses etc. Please remember to submit documentary proof also for all new details.
Hope this helped.
