Ontario SEX-ED curriculum : Hypocrisy by Desis leads to back off

Ontario liberal government wanted to start a new sex education curriculum in schools from Grade 3 onwards.
In grade 3 they wanted to teach children about gender identity, sexual orientation, homosexuality and then they wanted to introduce concepts about mastrubation, intercourse and other information to children uptil Grade 7.
Mc Guinty had to back off and put it in the back burner due to opposition from religious groups.
They are basically from Desi origin. I donot want to highlight who they are but if you had watched OMNI news on Thursday you would know who they are and what they feel about it.
My biggest shock was my favorite social commentator and also the man who I'm campaigning for GG - Dr.Lamba also is against this curriculum calling it bordering on pornography.
When was the last time you guys have gone to your local high school or learnt from your children what happens in the hallways/locker area.
Do you guys know that oral sex is very common in various high schools in Canada. If you want to deny it so be it.
Beer parties are common with high school students where children drink until they puke and sex after is very common.
STD(Sexually Transmitted Diseases) and teenage pregnancies are common in high schools.
It is most shocking where many a highly religous kids with various religious identities do when their parents are away.
Do you know what high school children do on friday nights and the kind of parties they attend.
Has anybody gone down to the night clubs near Ruth Steak House at SQ ONE or the ones on Dixie road near Eglinton?. It is all Desi kids having fun.
It is better to learn proper information from the school in a neutral environment. We desi parents will NOT talk about the birds and the bees to our kids. We want our children to be asexual as long they are students and the minute they get married you want a grandkid on the dot of ninth month.
What hypocrisy?. If you want to come to Canada be prepared to go through this realignment.
If you are not ready DO NOT come to Canada.
If you go to any desi shows like Masala Mehndi or other shows most of the organizers are Desis and they are GAY.
Be prepared if your kid wants to come out of the closet and make a life.
If you still want to eat biriyani, watch pirated DVD's, go to mandir on weekend and wear your traditional dresses why do you leave India or Timbuktu?.
What a wonderful initiative by McGuinty buried by the illogical Desis with excess baggage of their so called Desi culture.
Many of the Desis in GTA are still living as if they are in Lower Parel or Mani Nagar.
The other day I was in SQ ONE where two white kids with their IMO-Goth makeup, studs, piercing and neck braces were walking and two desi woman in their churidhars laughed loudly behind their back and made funny comments about them in hindi. These kids heard this turned and looked at the women and walked away. I overheard these comments and understood them. These women were admonishing them for their dress sense and asked whether their parents know how their children dress and these kids were not raised right.
Who the F&*K are you guys to judge somebody else?. How will you feel when you put into the same situation by the others on your dress code?.
There is a whole other life in GTA, with people having lifestyles with fetish, kink, bondage, biker gang lifestyle and other so called deviant forms in this city.
What will you do if your kid or grand kid adopts such a life?.
Wake up and smell the roses and live and let live.
If you want to celeberate your religion or culture do it nobody stops you BUT do not carry it over it other areas and deny others of their opportunity.
Please immigration to North America or Europe is not just physical movement it is whole lot of mental, cultural adjustment/tolerance and learning.
I'm pissed with Desis and hence this!.

Sex education already exists in schools. The issue this time was the increased intensity of the content at an earlier age. I have nothing against sex education in schools but based on what I was reading in the papers even I felt it was a bit too much too soon.

VM is giving too much credit to Desi for Mcguinty backtracking. Omni News might have emphasized desi angle but today I heard on CBC thta it is the church groups which are aginst the idea. In any case, Mcguinty is a typical politician. When he found that his idea is unpopular, he backtracked.
I personally feel that taching grade 3 students about gay relationship is too much and will spoil their innocance. May be a little later say in grade 7 might be more appropriate.
VM, I disagree with your thoughts and your attitude towards desis. I do not see anything wrong in eating biriyani, going to mandir on weekend and wearing your traditional dresses. Even people of Canadian origin do that. So what’s the fuss about? What’s your take on native Indians?
Lets face the reality. There are lots of things which GenY do that is equally disliked by GenX irrespective of religion or nationality. So why blame desis only?
As far as sex education is concerned, I fully support that but not in grade three. As Nighmare pointed it will spoil their innocence.
Trust me, with few exceptions, what majority of desis think is wrong is also considered wrong is other culture
VM you may be ok having your kids learn sex in grade 3 and masturbation and anal sex in grade 6 but majority of Ontarians (regardless origin and race) are against it, and that is with valid logic and reason.
What I think that our Premier has lost his mind. Looks like that his creativity in imposing new tax every other day has reached to its limit so now he is trying to create these non-senses as if he does not have any other important work to do for Ontario.

Vandemataram, I do not think desis alone are to blame for this fiasco. The pressure was mainly from Christian and Muslim groups. Guys lke Charles McVeaty and so. He is one of the biggest idiots I have ever heard.
Even I am disappointed with McGuinty's backtracking on this issue. The best you can do is to write a letter to your MPP expressing your disappointment.
The biggest irony in this case is that McGuinty was able to win the election as John Tory got defeated because of his stance on religious school funding. Now same McGuinty is bowing to those fundamentalists.

I do not have much idea about what exactly they teach at grade 3, but I am sure what they teach is inline with the thought process of a 7-8 year old kid. For example, teaching them about gender identity will sure help foment acceptance of LGTB kids and prevent homophobia.
I am not sure if grade 6 is the right age to teach about oral/anal sex. On personal level I feel grade 8/9 might be a right age, but again kids these days are maturing earlier and hence grade 6/7 might be a right age.
In nutshell, provincial liberals are backtracking on one of the most commendable step they were about to take. They have sure lost my vote.
