Hi Guys,

Thanks in advance for reading. I am an animator whose been working in Singapore (work permit) for over 3 years now. I am deeply interested in immigrating to Canada and wanted to seek some advice regarding the above. As, me and my wife are both professionals (my wife being a graphic designer), I am guessing we could only qualify under skilled workers and professional category?
But going through the job profiles written under that category, there's absolutely no mention of anything related to art and television industry. I was wondering if there's any other possibility or category for us to apply under or is it a norm to file for an immigration under professional category regardless of the profession mentioned on the list?

I wonder if its helpful but I've previously studied in Canada where I pursued my animation studies. (but that was over 5 years ago and the program was less than a year). Besides, both me and my wife are graduates.

Also, As I am an indian passport holder, would I have to apply from India or the country of my current residence (I am guessing that would be singapore) ?

I lived in Singapore for about 15 years before I moved to Canada - and repenting it!

I stumbled upon this post and surprised too. I constantly think about moving to Singapore, so wondering why someone would move from that place to here. I hear housing in Singapore is very costly .. so maybe that's the reason.
