Hi,

We went in 2008. We started late in the night as our son hated sitting in a car seat during those days. We left Toronto @ 10.30 PM and reached Best western Airport hotel @ 4.30/5 AM. Never took out the car from the parking lot of that hotel for the next 2 days. Montreal is very convenient due to its amazing transit service. All the famous locations are right attached to a subway station.

Drove ahead from Montreal to reach Quebec and it was more convenient as driving straight to QUEBEC would be a little too much if only one person drives in your group.

Regards,

VJ.

Hotel booking:
I suggest you to book hotel in advance while visiting Quebec, it’s very easy to find hotel in Montreal but Quebec is tough on certain days.

Cover distance:
I prefer driving early in the morning around 4-4:30 am. Try to cover as much as distance before first stop because in the morning kids like to sleep but once they are awake you will have to make several stops
It will take around 51/2 to 6 hours to reach Montreal… so by the time you reach Montreal traffic will be normal.

Food/Drink:
Fill up your baggage with snacks, drinks and good music
