can someone recommend home inspectors who are professional & reliable. thank you
Hi,
The home I bought, after 'Home Inspection' has got one problem The bath tub is not fixed with proper base support, hence buckle and leak when one goes in. The estimate to fix is around 1,500.00/ I am second owner of this 6-7 years newer home. Any help from builder/ home inspection agency possible? No use going to my home insurance as they may pay (after 500 deductible) and will start taking back that money from me by enhanced premium.

The home inspection agency will not have any liability for this type of thing.
Builder warranty does not cover this (esp. after 6 - 7 years).
And I doubt whether home insurance will cover this even if you were to file a claim.
I think you may have to suck this one up.

Not knowing your whereabouts, it becomes difficult to even provide you with a group or a name of an individual who does that. They do like your business. But some may limit their areas to one Province and some to specific areas. (Zones)

How about Mike Holmes? He has a company that makes inspection for new homes
They serve a wide area. You can wear your glad rags and follow him while he is conducting the inspection. It will be educational.
