I don't have dish or cable. Neither the internet from these thives.
However I am planning to get desi channels for next 4-6 months due to some relatives who will be visiting soon and need to see desi channels.
Are there any plans that any one can suggest which will allow me to get max. desi channels (or at least some) while paying the least amount of $?
Don't really care about local or regular channels.
Often they have less advertised plans like get 2 or 6 months free on some packages if one gets basic cable etc. so if anyone knows any such offer, please let me know
Thanks
I would say, call them again and again. each time you will encounter a new rep; catch the best price. About other than 'em; I believe as authorized service provider, only they can 'serve'.

Thanks for the link Zubs
Thats a normal price package though. I am looking for something like 2 or 6 months free when you order this blah blah kinda deal.
Rogers does not openly advertise such deals but rather advertises them in ethnic papers and so on.
any one using TV-DESI.com ? or any other similar cheaper but reliable solution

I too had a question for fellow Canadiandesi's from GTA area regarding this web-based hardware box based desi channel streaming services.
I currently have Rogers cable that I primarily took for 3 months as I had relatives visiting from India and you know what...I am hooked to watching Sony TV from 9pm to 10pm weekdays.
But the price just to get that one channel is prohibitive, so once my relatives leave, I am looking for cheaper options.
I have high speed internet so wouldn't mind trying out tv-desi.com, but need someone using it to vouch for it.
With rogers, I first have to pay for basic cable TV (about $40 bucks), then take the mandatory stupid ATN channel for $15 bucks plus taxes, and finally pay $10 bucks more for Sony.
While tv-desi has this $27 bucks package that includes Sony and bunch of other useless channels.
