Dear freddie

thanks a lot for ur detailed reply.
but in my previous post http://www.canadiandesi.com/read.php?TID=24451&page=1#143771 pratickm and jonav clearly mentioned that u need to be physically present to collect the card.
My only concern is to know abt the card collection process for second time applicants.is it delivered on the given address or to collect personally ?

please confirm if someone has gone through the same process.

regards

When you are normally asked to it pick up, they exchange the old one for the new.

Since this is your first card, I am sure that they will ask you for an address at the P.O.E. and deliver the same to that address also. The next time you can exchange.

Freddie.

but in case of jonav, it was first card for her kids too.then why she appeared physically to get the kid's card?

(physical presence of kids was needed, the lady at CIC literally told me to pick up kids in lap and (one by one) and matched their faces!!!)

jonav,if u r here, did they asked you to come in person to collect the card?

please advice asap as this will schedule our visit accordingly.

I could not establish a contact on line in the voice system. I got the ususal Ring-a- Rang-a-roo. But what they say is if you provide them with a proper mailing address they will be mailing it out to you within thirty days. Also, they have started to process the applications mailed out to them on the 1st of February 2010 and the number of days it takes is?? It is balnked out.

So, you will have to wait for a confirmation from some one who has gone through the processing just like you would on your landing.

I will keep trying them out on thursday when the lines are more free.

Freddie.

You have to make a request at the P.O.E. and also provide them with a Valid address with Postal Code at that time.
