Hello everyone,
I have few questions about the FSW Category :
My Situaion : I have got an offer in India, where in the India based employer is sending me to Canada in a Work Permit
Questions :
1. Can I switch company in Work permit itself instead of getting a PR ?
2. Can I immediately File for a PR once I land in Canada. or is there any time limit, as I am eligible under the NOC Job code 1111 ?
3. Can I apply PR from India itself, before moving to canada ?
4. If the Answer, to the Q.3 is negative. Kindly suggest, will it better to apply only for me initially or along witih family ?
5. If I apply from Canada, and the company wanted to me to come back before the PR is decided. then what will happen..? where should I send documents New Delhi or Nova Scotia.
6. After coming to Canada, I am immediately planning to apply for PR, after filing the application, if the company wants me to come back to India, then is it possible that can I legally stay in Canada, until the application is decided.
7.In a similar situation as above, if before the WP date is expired, Can I apply for PR, can I stay beyond the WP expiry date..seeking the reason that I have applied PR until my PR case is decided.?
8. I am planning to apply for PR immediately after I land in Canada, but only for me. After I apply, my family will join with Dependent WP (processed by company initially), will there be an instance were I will be in PR and my family in Dependent WP. is this valid.?

Hi imwhoever...Many thanks for your answers
In Q.1, is it easy to get new work permit while staying in canada..
Do I need to come to India for stamping or is it done within canada itself
In Q.3, when applying PR from India, if the Canadian Local Visa Office is selected as New Delhi, and when the passport is been requested after processing, Am I supposed to send the passport out of Canada to Delhi.. is it Legal ?
When I am in canada with family, can I apply the PR only for me ? and later depending upon my selection, i can apply for the family.
My New employer is planning to take a WP for me,
1) Is it fine at this juncture to apply for PR in india. Any suggestions are welcome.
2) Is it fine to apply PR only for me in India and then later fly to the Canada in WP.
Your suggestions are welcome

--> It is not easy to get new wp while staying in Canada(not like US H1). Visa stamping is done in a Canadian consulate other than Canada

---> Applying from India will take years, currently they are processing 2003-04 applications. You cannot send passport between countries, it is illegal (except US/Canada)
When I am in canada with family, can I apply the PR only for me ? and later depending upon my selection, i can apply for the family.
---> It is better to apply together, immigration will/want to know about the status of your family

WITHIN CANADA IT IS POSSIBLE TO CHANGE WP, TAKES AROUND ONE MONTH.
FOR PR, YOU CAN START PROCESSING, CURRENT PROCESSING TIME AT CHC ND IS BETWEEN 6-12 MONTHS, BETTER TO APPLY TOGETHER AND FOR SENDING PASSPORT TO INDIA FOR FINAL STAMPING YOU HAVE TO FIND SOLUTION. MOST EASY WAY IS TO SEND WITH SOME FRIEND/RELATIVE.
your help will be highly appreciated
Thanks

Many Thanks
