Finally saw the movie last evening. Glad that I saw dvd, I could FF. Long movie. Some surprises. Shows the dark side of Indian politics. Hope Indians realise and understand the real political system in India thru this movie.

Saw this movie in DVD yesterday, should've gone to the hall to watch it. Very good movie and I enjoyed. Plot, scenes and there are many things that remind many other movies. Despite all, the movie still kept us glued to it. Good screenplay did the job.

I think this could be the first time I've witnessed bit of performance from Arjun Rampal, I missed his performance in some SRK movie, that Dard-e disco movie, I can't stand SRK, so no regrets.

I will want to watch in original print.

One word - Go for it. Strongly recommended. Couldn't find any flaws, and a perfect movie after a long time. The last one I saw was 'A Wednesday'.

How often do you see a bollywood's movie, which is 3 hour long, without any songs/dance/love angle, and still keep you on the edge of your seat? Can't believe it? Go watch 'Rajneeti'.

I personally loved it a lot. I wish they would pay me, so I could cash in on the movie's success and contribute something to my home's mortgage :).lol... If you didn't like it then well, it's your prerogative. As you mentioned - each to his/her own.

Do they really need to make this kind of movie. It looks like a bit too much.
Censor board is completely impotent.

Do you really believe censor exists in India? I doubt it. Moreover, Ghazini and other movies have a lot more violence than Rajneeti. I would like to see more of these movies that are objective and show the true colors of the society while keeping the viewers engaged - not really art houses cinema. How can you explain Bihar and UP politics where they can cut throat for seats, exchange crores to buy the seats for elections. All that was shown happens in Indian politics everyday, though not too violent. Most of the political murders/revenge are either hidden or covered-up with the help of currupt judiciary and Police.

Yes, I agree that violence and revenge is a little extreme - but I also give it a benefit of doubt for being a movie.
