Don't worry man, Have patience and things will improve in future. If u don't believe then look at the last 10 years patterns how India is grown. Country like Canada took 100 years to develop and I hope u will give at least 50 years to India to become developed. Our next generation will definitely see it.

Even Canada spent Billion $$$ on G20 and u know the results.

Why u take 1947 as ur bases. It is not the first time India is growing. It was at its peak in different era. The next peak started in this century. Forget about 1947.
Renovation is always challenging than rebuilding.

If u still want to count on 50 years, then start from 1993 when MM Singh changed the foreign policies. I am sure it will not even take 50 years to overtake US/UK (You fav. nations) etc.

This is the quote from internet

"The Delhi International Airport Private Limited (DIAL) which developed the terminal and has been given the mandate to finance, design, build, operate and maintain Delhi airport for 30 years"

Here's a link on who the designers are and what DIAL is.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indira_Gandhi_International_Airport

If you click on Terminal 3 link, the article provides info on the designers whose names are clickable for more details.

From wikipedia from the above link and sub-links...

"Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) is a consortium of the GMR Group (50.1%), Fraport AG (10%) and Malaysia Airports (10%),[15] India Development Fund (3.9%)[15] and the Airports Authority of India retains a 26% stake."

"Designed by HOK working in consultation with Mott MacDonald,[22] the new Terminal 3 is a two-tier building, with the bottom floor being the arrivals area, and the top being a departures area."

"HOK (formerly Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum) is a global architecture, interiors, engineering, planning and consulting firm. HOK is the largest U.S.-based architecture-engineering firm[1] and the world's fourth-largest architectural firm[2]. "

"The Mott MacDonald Group is an employee-owned company management, engineering and development consultancy serving the public and private sectors world-wide. The firm employs more than 14,000 staff and works in 140 countries."

Per wikipedia, Mott MacDonald is head quartered in the UK.

Hello Gupta Ji
Any Idea how India is going to achieve that with 2009 figures mentioned below???

GDP
USA : US$ 14,256,275 Millions
India : US$ 1,095,000 Millions

Income Per Capita
USA : International $ 46,381
India : International $ 3,248 ( it is below world per capita)

India’s population living on US$ 2.00 or less per day : 75.6%

All these figures can be seen at Wikipedia or UN related web sites.

I am sure if you are so certain about India's future thn you must be having an insight as how India is going to overtake US?

Oh.. I did not know that India or Indians have to look up to a foreigner to let world know what would be the future of India… I was expecting someone from 1.2 billion Indians will do this…. Oh yeah I forgot the terminal # 3 of IG Airport is also designed, built and financed by foreigners but am sure they did not expect in their dreams that a stray dog in India can suspend flight operations at Capital’s International Airport!!!:p
