Folks,
I was reading a few posts by various people around the world.
Some of the comments :-
-"Dont come to Canada, Canada is bad"
-"Dont move to Australia, Australia is too bad"
-"Moving back to India..forget about it..tooo back"
-"US...gang wars, shootings ..dont go there"
-"Middle east..no security..indian are treated like shit"
Where do we really go and live a peaceful life? What I am looking for is just peace of mind...not too much money or opportunities..just a small place to live and die...
Where is that?

Chandresh , you are right about singapore being a nice place ...i liked it too and i found hongkong better in terms of freedom.
but i can tell you one thing for sure that one of my friends in singapore who keeps visiting Toronto is eagerly waiting for his canadian immigration ... he is well aware of the ground realities here and still wants to migrate ....this is just one person i hapenned to know. It is also a fact that Canadian embassy in singapore has a long list of immigrants waiting to move to Canada , how many canadians are waiting at singapore embassy ?
it is something interesting in the nature of most immigrants that they always long for some place other than where they actually are .. kahin chain nahin hai !! ... i have been meeting so many people like this not just here but in US as well , i wonder why this feeling is so prevalent .
like canada no place is free of problems ...i saw an an interesting news item on tv the other day that singapore now has termed even holding hands of your girlfriend/wife in public as indecent behaviour . those holding hands can be fined !...not that we desi's hold hands in public but it
speaks volumes about how heavily policed that state is .
be your own judge ...eh!
As for the heading of this thread ...Where does it end ?
for me it will end six feet under , or in a river or ocean .... but till that happens lets enjoy what we have.

PS - these are just my first hand opinions , i respect our differences in views ...hope you wont get angry just like last time
