Your first trip to court will be to get the court date , once you get the court date then on your second trip to court you will meet prosecutor first, he/she will bargain and will reduce your fine as well as points
once both of you agree then in front of the judge you do not hv to say anything but accept the fine and pay but beware if you hv already made a deal with the prosecutor and if officer does not show up then still you hv to pay fine as your have already accepted your fault
but if u do not agree with the what prosecutor is offering then you tell prosecutor that you want to see judge and very important tell him that “ you want to plea no guilty” then in front of the judge you can still argue and always u get better deal from the judge then prosecutor, advantage in this situation is if officer does not show up then u r free and no points, no fine and no insurance record.
Be careful of what u say to the prosecutor if u want to see judge then do not accept your fault in front of prosecutor, you just tell him /her that I want to plea no guilty

yes i know even without points my insurance would go up.
if i select option 3 (dispute the ticket), how do i get the plea bargain?
will the prosecutor ask me before the trial if i want to bargain?
i don't actually want to go into a hearing and trial because if the officer does show up, i can't really refute the evidence.
Shame on you to plead guilty - You deserve this ticket - You are playing with someone else life - Have fun. To all those ruthless driver, $180 fine is just peanut, should add one more 0 to it ($1800) and there will be no accident on the road
I understand the logic New York has put through, however we not here to judge anyone. We are here to share information so that one can make knowledgeable decisions. We are here to help each other by exchanging thoughts and experiences and by doing that nothing goes out of our pockets.
