Montreal, Toronto among top 10 most expensive cities, UBS study says

TORONTO - Toronto and Montreal have now joined the list of the top 10 most expensive cities in the world due to a stronger loonie and higher inflation rate.

An updated survey from Swiss wealth management firm UBS Bank suggests the two Canadian cities jumped around 20 spots since last year, ranking eighth and ninth among 73 cities surveyed.

I don't get what logic they used to derive at the most expansive city in Canada. It's also beyond my comprehension that Vancouver is not considered to be in this league.

Try Vancouver for an year and you'll know. Toronto is by far a peanut, and the least expansive (big) city in Canada.

According to the Mercer's 2010 cost of living survey, Vancouver is the most expensive Canadian city followed by Toronto and Montreal. Ottawa is Canada’s least expensive city.
