No mention or footage about the opening ceremony in American Media. They only covered the one foot bridge that collapsed.
Never trust the USA media when forming an opinion about a country.

Infact the BBC did not have anything nice to say after the opening ceremony either, though they covered all the negative happenings during the run up to the games.
Some people will just criticize - no matter what you dish them...

But thats what separates India from China - no censorship and free speech - the reader/viewer knows what he is listening/reading/watching. It is better than spoon feeding, which makes us more mature...
to the opening ceremony.

In comparison, the president's speech was better.

May be because President's speech writer gets much higher salary than Kalmadi's writer.
Talking about speeches, did anyone notice Camilla trying to contain her laughter when the President said ' ditches of Cornwall' ?
