Who is responsible when we are unable to differentiate between sub-continent babus and government of developed countries. In this day & age ALL info. is out there and free to download and decipher. The question is does one have the time & mettle to read & understand simple info. and in the process avoid being scammed & save some money in the process?

Even if you apply directly you pay for the application process fee and landing fee. Landing fee is only charged if u get the visa but application fee is non refundable even if ur case is refused. In case of refusal u will not raise ur voice to get back ur application processing fee.
OP got his money back except the $400 which the agent charged for his services and the time and effort he spent. Then where is the problem?

They didnt provide me ANY service, there is no proof they spent their time and effort in looking for any job for me, that $400 deduction was not mentioned in agreement and, last but not the least, the entire scheme offered by them by was an illegitimate Ponzi scheme as getting thousands of dollars in advance from applicants in AEO scheme isnt permissible.
