Even if you apply directly you pay for the application process fee and landing fee. Landing fee is only charged if u get the visa but application fee is non refundable even if ur case is refused. In case of refusal u will not raise ur voice to get back ur application processing fee.
OP got his money back except the $400 which the agent charged for his services and the time and effort he spent. Then where is the problem?
