Looks like HST is acceptable to Ontario people.
This was a long time coming. He is the first hunt of the very 'Hate sales tax'. With all time record low rating ever in Canadian history, his resignation or oust was in the offing. I always personally found him to be the most stupid politician in Canada. However with Liberals still on a helm of affairs in the province, I don't see any major shift in policy - Gordon or not. Trust me, his successor will somewhat be a carbon copy of him. Harm has already been done, and even if NDP comes into power I am highly pessimistic over the policies, much less about the recall of the Hated Sales Tax.
On the high point however, I am happy that a real people power has been in play and display over the advent of HST. Standby, for it will take many more lives in politics. With MP recall still on, I will not be surprised about a complete recall/cancellation of HST.
In a nutshell, I am very happy and took a sigh of relief when heard this news this evening. What an indignified fall from grace.
You're right Ash. Looks like Ontarians are very happy with this hated tax. May be the effect of the bribe the politicians paid to the people of Ontario when they introduced this very tax.

It has something to do with the way BC legislative assembly work. Such provisions are not present in Ontario legislative assembly.
However, it is time Ontarians give McGuinty a kick in certain body part. I am not impressed with Tim Hudak, but it is about choosing the lesser evil.
