When I was in India almost 8-10 years back, I did apply for PAN card
I remember ( almost sure ) that by using online system, we checked status of our application & found actual PAN number
But don't remember if I ever received actual PAN Card from any govt office
In one of the last year in India, I did complete my Tax Return by using PAN Number
Then I left India, few years in middle east & then in Canada
I am selling my property in India & want to deposit amount getting from selling property into Capital Gains Saving account ( as I am not going to re-invest in property soon )
But bank is telling me in order to open Capital Gain S/Account, they want to see a copy of PAN card
I have PAN number but not PAN card
What option do I have ?
Can I re-print my PAN Card through website
Has anyone applied for New or re-issue PAN Card by being in Canada ?
My status - Canadian..
Thanks

Replacement PAN card application Just visit this https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan/correction.html and proceed to the bottom of it to select the appropriate category.
Before you do that it is advisable to carefully read the Instructions. For your convenience, I’ll mention here the two most important points to note while applying for a replacement card.
■ If all the data in your lost PAN card is correct and you are simply applying for a replacement card, fill the complete form without selecting (ticking) any box that are present on the extreme left, except for item number 7, which remains selected by default.
■ If you are instead applying just to make any corrections to your existing PAN card, fill out all the mandatory fields (those marked with a star) and select only those boxes that are present on the extreme left that corresponds to the filed in which you wish to make the corrections.
After completing all the fields and making the payment online, you will be allotted a unique 15 digit number using which you can track your PAN card status after 3 days from the date of application.
If you prefer the paper mode, you will have to download the correction form (change form) from http://www.incometaxindia.gov.in/Archive/ChangeForm.pdf or by visiting a physical Office of UTI or NSDL TIN in your area
