How can you say that the skill below mentioned by OP is useless..
Do you work in IT or has any background of IT with Sytem Admin role ?
Dont pass simply your "comments or thoughts"
The certification what OP has will get him a start ASAP in the Toronto market.
I would suggest the OP to come with a postive outlook and he will start any where with 14-15 and gradually in a year he will reach to 25 without any issue.
Hello Vijay,
I really appreciate your comment and thanks to my fellow friends on canadian desi website.

Dear Fellow Desi Brothers,
At the end I have decided to move back to Canada and I am coming in first week of May. So I am ready to ride the Canadian roller coaster. It’s going to be tough to crack the job as mentioned in previous post but I am quite hopeful this time.
I need more information about upgrading education. At present I have post graduate diploma in Computer Science from India and IT certifications like MCSA, A+, MCITP, CCNA and Exchange 2007. Presently, I can work part time (any job to sustain my family) and accommodate myself for studies. I am more levered towards network/system administration since it is my forte.
What are the best possible IT courses that I can pursue as per Canadian education standard? Online, correspondence or regular courses. I may be putting up in Brampton so which nearby college will be best to pursue further studies.
Secondly, my wife she has post graduate degree in Sociology, B.Ed. in Social Science and completed level2 of French. She has one year experience as a teacher in India. I know it is not countable in Canada however; there are certain criteria of writing exams and getting the primary teacher licence.
Kindly provide me what is procedure to get teaching licence as a primary teacher.
Friends, your input will pave my future path your opinions are certainly required.
Regards,
ITboy
Hello,
If you need to get a job in Canada, you need to come down to Canada to attend the interviews because unlike USA & India, you cant have the job interviews done over the phone.
First every placement agencies (the keyword searchers) would want to see you face-to-face for a client presentability check (CPC).
Next round, comes the face to face HR round and further interview rounds.
Bottomline, if you need to search a job you would need to come to canada.
if u haven't flown already, i recommend stay put in india.
reasons
1) india IT is growing so more prospects to grow and also a sense of job security. here in canada, cost cutting is the business buzz word. if u r working in services company like wipro/infosys etc try moving to product companies they have better salary ranges. note: sys/net admin jobs are being exported to india..people in india are managing NA networks/systems remotely. so only the very niche job stays in NA
2) chances are u will not get a job for many months due to multiple reasons
3) ur wife will not get a job for many months until she gets certified by ocet.ca which will mean she has to study/take courses then apply at school
also, even after this she might not get job because schools don't want the children to learn indian english accent (interesting but true)
4) u will spend more than earning and u will be forced to do any job..i know u said i can but reality is different
i was lucky, i got a job in my own field of software project management 4 months after touch down but my wife hasn't. she is BA, BEd, pre-school teacher diploma. she will be applying to a school to get ECE and i am sure she still might not make the cut..
unless staying in india is an imminent threat to your life, stay put. enjoy the festivals and life in india, who would u celebrate with here
i don't know if u are aware, that it gets VERY cold here.
Dear friends,
Thanks for your posts. I specially thank to gk2010 who has a relevant point how to get a job. However, newcd have not understood my question. I have asked for educational institute to upgrade my skills according to Canadian standards.
I am very well aware the initial hiccups and challenges in Canada and I have been through in my one year stay. Question of going back and coming is totally personal and I really appreciate your concern, since you are going through the ordeal doesn’t mean the rest of community is also going through the same patch.
Circumstances change the directions of life.
Kindly provide me the answer as requested in my previous post.
Regards
ITboy
