Hello
I and my wife became PR of Canada and had visited canada for activation of the PR . My wife recived the PR card and I was told that the pictures for my application are not as per thier specifications hence I have taken 2 pics as per thier specs and sent it through courier from India.
I have 2 questions :
1. Will there be any problem in sending the pics through Fedex from India or it needs to sent through local post (mail) in Canada?
2. After they recieve the new pics in how much time would they issue the PR card for me?
Please answer the above questions and help me think better..!
Regards
SSPPM
Hi SSPPM,
I can answer your 1st question. If you have used FedEx relax, nothing wrong. It is reliable and faster service than Indian Post.
I am not 100% sure but I guess it won't take longer than 2-4 weeks, because PR has been granted, just waiting for required pics.
** Just make sure where exactly you want your PR card mailed. If Immigration is confused about address, then CIC can hold card and ask to appear at nearest Canadian Immigration Office to pick it up peronally. I am not sure about your situation but I don't think they can mail PR in India, unless you know otherwise. If you have provided (Relative's) Canadian address then it will be fine, card will reach there without delay.

Meeting people is easy. Having meaningful connections is the hard part.
I believe sending your Pics through FEDex is more better option as It will give you mind satisfaction along with confirmation.
Second thing,Hamrahi is right,If it's just a Picture issue then It wont take long to issue you PR Card ( Approx. 2-3 Weeks) but you have to make sure your address is correct.
Thanks
Hi all CDs,
We would you like share our landing experience with all of you. It took less then half an hour to process every thing and we were out of the airport within an hour.
They did not ask us to show how much money we were carrying, just relied on our figure which we gave them.
They asked our local/Canadian address and also asked how long we were going to stay there.
The immigration officer was very friendly and supportive.
The only exception was that he did not take any photos for our P.R. Card. When I questioned him in regards to this, he replied that there is no need. Could you please share your experience and tell me if the same occurred with you.
When we asked our friends in Toronto, they said that now, immigration has siezed to take photos on landing and use the COPR photo for P.R. Card. Is this true?
One more thing, are my children applicable to get a loan on their university fees, or do they have to pay it up front?
Thanks
