We are Indian citizen and permanent resident of Canada. We have to apply for VISA for our one year old daughter who is a Canadian citizen.
Under what category we should apply for her VISA. It should be under Tourist or Entry VISA category? The purpose of the visit to India is to meet our relatives/parents.
Thanks
You can either go for Tourist visa or Visitor visa (visiting relatives and friends).
If you ask them they will ask you to go with Visitor visa since the purpose is visiting relatives (but it costs almost twice the Tourist visa for the duration of 6 months).

I emailed to VFS and they have confirmed that I can apply for my daughter visa under tourist cat.
Hope it works for you.
Before travelling to India, a few weeks ago with my sons, born here, on our Canadian PPs, I had emailed VFS the same question and while they had responded saying that i could apply for a tourist visa both for self and sons, the gentleman at the counter on the day of depositing the visa application crossed it out and put it against visitor visa saying we were of "Indian origin".
The difference was the cost, while a tourist visa was $ 62, the visitor visa was $ 123 plus the VFS fees. But never mind....
Enjoy your trip to India.
Hello Soberflier
I applied for the Tourist Visa and there was no problem. VFS issued VISA 62in one days and we received the passport back in Halifax next day.
Thanks
