Hi, cowtown_tarun
Thanks for your response. I am working for Industrial Automation.
Electrical maintenance, SCADA, DCS is my expertise.
Will it be possible to get a job in this field?
I will be moving with family.I am aware that initially I have to get a hotel for a week or two. As you have suggested NE, I will prefer that.
Can I get a flat on rent withing a week or two?
Regards
In the first week you need to go around to get your SIN no and Health Card so it is ideal that u stay in a place which is easily accesible to downtown.
Idealy it will be best if you can come here and inspect the flat and check on the accessibility options and book it
Regarding your field , i dont have much idea as i am from IT background.
Thanks cowtown_tarun,
I have completed my SIN and PR formalities in 2009 when I landed in mississauga.
I wish to know few more facts, one of them is
Are there cheats trying to fool new comers in terms of employment, accommodation?
Any special tip for a new immigrant?
Regards
One thing which you need to take care here is whether it is an employment or an accomdation it has to be documented , which makes it a legal document which helps you to be protected..so never go by the word of mouth.
What i would suggest is to do your homework regarding the companies in your field and the recruitment agencies dealing with the same and check on the recruitment companies and the companies review , and since u r already on PR start applying.
Ideally if you could get any network or link from someone who is in the same professional domain as yours it is the best , as they can update you regarding the recruitment process, job requirement so on.Your link need not be in calgary , they can be anywhere in canada , but it is a very useful resource .
Thats all i can think right now.. if u any need any other info msg in
