Settlement Funds..Help Masoodji and CDs

HI:

We are a family of three. How much minimum funds are we required to bring along also let me know what form we should get the funds in. Do we need to split the amount in two parts and make Demand Draft in two names. Mine and my spouse.My son is also accompanying (2and a half years old)

Suggest teh best way to carry finds!!!

Better if you carry some travellers cheques as Demand draft takes atleast a month to get cleared.
