Hi All,
Any recomondation for a good FTA Satellite Dish Installer? I do not want DESI channels. I am looking for legal FTA Sateelite Dish. Please give reference. I am based in Brampton.

There are very few FTA channels, that it is pointless using Sat receiver for FTA purpose..


In the past these FTA receivers used to be hacked to get all channels broadcast by Dish and Bell. But the new security setup by these providers has been hard to crack..

Basically u will end up needing a motor on ur dish to catch as many satellites as u can to get a small selection of may be 10 - 15 fta channels..

Unless u are a hobbyist it is not worth the pain and if u were a hobbyist u would do it on ur own like i did..

Can someone explain how this $20 setup being offered now-a-days works.

Is the quality good and are they reliable(meaning is the Satellite up most of the time).
Also, should there be any check done regarding which model Satellite receiver one should get.

I guess they still need to be connected to internet (card sharing)
or some people charging $20/month to provide the service..
