hello everyone, this probably has been talked about a bit, but i am looking for information on how is peterborough, ontario as an option for settling down. i am currently in gta and looking at other options. i like quieter place for my family and want someplace with good school, good lifestyle and some business opportunities as well as activities and things for kids to do. basically a great place to rise a family. if there is anyone living in peterborough, please give your opinion about the place. thanks

Hey, any inputs. I am also looking at peterborough as an option for the same above reasons, any inputs from the seniors will be appreciated.

Peterborough is a very laid back, white dominated (not a bad situation though), retirement town.

There is basically not much oppertunities there. Even if you open a business, you may not have the customers to turn a profit. Rent is low but cost of living is comparitively high.

However, you will have a good quality of life, nature nearby , mostly whites in schools etc..
However, if you are looking fr business oppertunities,

How about you try Kitchener, waterloo,Cambridge, Guelph area? Just a suggestion. It all depends of your skills and in what business that you want to enter.

Also I am out of Canada for 2 years plus now and hence people like SS, Bhootnath, Fido, San Hugo, Delihite, Ashwani, Hiren can advise you better.
