Dear All,
I've a job offer from vancouver , canada in the IT field, would like to have your expert opinions whether is the right package offered and will it be enough for 2.
I'm offered a salary of 100K + 15% Annual bonus + $800 for medical.
Is this how normal package is like for person with 9+ year of experience looks like, am I getting raw deal, please suggest.
Besides, any rough estimate what is monthly expenses a family of 2 incur, leading a simple life (which involves 4-5 times eating out a week).
I appreciate if you can give me some insight, will really help to reach a decisions, thanks a lot!!!
Regards,
Raj
This will barely cover your living expenses.

You know you are a desi when ........ You spew forth the virtues of India, but don't want to live there...............You've never had a tanning salon membership
I am not sure which one of you is being sarcastic....or are you both serious?

I am serious ! When you are an IT person with 9 years expirience you don't live in an apartment building with Jamaican refugees in North York. You get a nice house, car, club membership etc. So 100k barely covers the costs.

It is more than enough for a family of 2 if you want to lead a simple life in Vancouver. But if your idea is to eat out 4-5 times a week and living in downtown or West-end of Vancouver then I doubt you will need much more.
In a nutshell, 100K is very good package. Also, depands upon your expanses.
