Dear CDs,
I am looking for a 1 way rental from Orlando, Florida to Atlanta, GA. Most of the online quotes I am getting (standard car for 4 passengers + luggage) is in the range of $100+. The same car for return to same location is available for $22++
Anyone have any suggestions?

If you are alone, try local websites such as craigslist.org for people driving to your destination and join them.
Other unusual way is to make a posting on craigslist to request somebody to rent a car for you and drop you off. You get a cheap ride and he gets to have some good driving time + some money if you are willing to pay him/her for driving.
Make sure to meet people before you plan to ride with them. You don't want any surprises

I have rented cars in the US from one location and dropped off at other locations number of times. If you are planning to drop off your car at another location let the rental company know when you pick up your car and besides normal rent they will charge an extra fees ranging from US$ 50.00 to US$ 75.00 and you can drop off your car at another location, this fees is NOT per day it is per rental. Normally I rent a car from well-known companies because their fine prints are standard and very straight forwards.

Thanks for the info. I just need to travel 1 day so the deals of around $100 are the only option...

Hi Hiren,
Check with Enterprise. They had a special discount program called 'Florida Drive Out'. During my trip to FL last spring, they offered me this huge discount which brought down the rates by 50%. But I ended up with Thrifty rental as I had no plans to drive out of Miami area. Give them a call. Some discounts may not be available online.
