Hello All,
I had visited Canada as a immigrant in 2009.I stayed for about 5 months and returned back the reasons being not able to get a job in sync with my career due to lack of Canadian experience and education.I thought that getting education in Canada was real important thing to progress further here.I went back to India secured a decent job where Iam making 43K PM and started preparing for GMAT.I took my GMAT in August scored 660 and started applying for B-schools in Canada.I applied to 2 schools intially i.e Rotman which is University of Toronto and Queen's University.I got admit in Queen's and reject in Rotman.I thought being a PR I would be eligible for a Loan in Canada. But since I have not stayed in Canada for long I would require a cosigner is difficult. Now getting a cosigner is next to impossible.I have to now take a loan from India for 25 lacs for which I have to mortgage my Dad's house. All said and done is this investment worth the risk and will a MBA help me in getting some what decent job atleast so that I can repay off the loan or should I leave this idea of coming to Canada for ever.I have around 3.5 yrs of exp in financial services industry.I also plan to do CFA as well. Please help.Since you guys are in Canada your opinion would be appreciated.I have to pay the deposit fees of 2000 $ by Monday. So if I can get some real opnion on this I can really decide whether to go further or not.
Please help me out as I have only 3 days to decide.
Queen's School of Business is definitely will help you to get a well paid job ..I know folks who got the well paid job (even with minimal Canaidian experience).

Vivek,
You are taking huge risk by taking loan against your Dad's house (probably at interest of around 10-12%). Yes, MBA will help but it is not a guarantee of getting a decent job. I do know people who are struggling to get decent job after doing MBA from Schulich.
I will suggest if you really want to do MBA, request to postpone your admission at Queens for 1-2 term (most likely they will do), come to Canada now (as you are PR) and do whatever job and save money. Apply for student loan and take study loan from banks here. You may not need co-signer after you have some credit history.
Please don't take loan against your Dad's house as it is too much risk (not only for you but for your parents too). You already know that it is not easy to get decent job here.
