Hi Seniors,
Expiry date on my wife's and sons PR Cards are March 31st, if they relocate to Canada on March 31st 2011 for good and plan to stay there without leaving will it be enough for them to keep their PR status considering April 1st 2011 to March 31st 2013 is 2 years? They did their landing in March 13th 2008 and left Canada on April 3rd 2008.
Appreciate your response.
oops forgot to mention the year of epiry its 31st March 2013
Thanks for the response, but thought the calculation is done as per the expiry of the PR cards which is 31st March 2013. Hence if they land on March 31st 2011 and stay till 31st March 2013 it would suffice the minimum requirement of days for keeping the PR status plus they have a bonus of 19 days since they spend that time when they did their landing on March 13th 2008?
Please enlighten me and thanks once again.
I would suggest you to land you by this month end..Allways better to have a buffer...so in all u can have a buffer of 49 days...(this can be used in case if u want to go to US for a vacation or meet someone)..Dont keep it CUT to CUT

Thanks Vivek, is the landing date taken into account or is it the expiry date in the PR card taken for counting the minimum days in order to keep the PR status, in my case landing date is 13th March 2008 printed on the backside of the PR card, and the expiry is 31st March 2013 which is in bold print on the front side of the PR card.
Would love to have extra time to fall back but am in a situation where I have to make the most of both worlds and have a win win situation.
Appreciate your help.
