20 questions , atleast 15 need to be correct, in 30 min. No mandatory questions.
Read the book provided all questions come from the book.

If u fail u will get another chance , if u fail again u have to appear for interview with judge , who has a choice of giving you citizenship .
If judge rejects then u have to reapply...
There are mandatory questions.
I believe it's from the section Rights and Responsibilities as a Citizen.
You have to answer all the questions in this section and all of them have to be correct for you to pass the test.
If the rest of your test is 100% correct but you get even 1 question in this wrong, it'll be considered a fail.
I don't recall exact number of questions in this section, but my guess is 5 questions.

The rules were changed last yr. As per new rules, you need to answer 15 questions correctly out of 20 to pass. I took the test recently. They were pretty easy. Read the book couple times and take some mock tests (google for getting these tests) and you should be good..

what happens if you fail to appear for the citizenship test. We changed our house and did not get the letter for the test on time. When I checked my status today i saw my test was already scheduled one month back. anyone here knows what happens in this situation?
