HI,
My parents and siblings are in india. My mom is here with me in canada on a visit. I would like to invite my dad, unmarried working sister and student brother for a visit during summer.
Dad has good business and own property. Sister is working for reputed airlines and has free tickets to travel to canada for the family. Brother is studying architecture.
Moreover they have multiple entry US visa.
What is the best option?
Apply from India or US?
Both me and my husband are working and the family income is $60,000 with no assets and no bank balance.
I want to just send an invitation letter stating that i will just take care of the accmodation and all travel expenses will be borne by them.
Should they apply from india or US. Mom's visa was rejected twice form india and then she got it.
Just worried.
Please reply.
US Canadian Consulate has a different mindset from the Indian one as the people who apply at both the places are vastly different . Needless to say , a US Application would have more chances of getting approved .
Not sure though if they apply first in India and in case its turned down , would that have an impact on the 2nd Application from the US .
I hope other CD s can comment .

Fido.
Getting Canadian visa is easier if are already in the US.
That said ur Father should not have any issues getting visitor visa from india if proper documentation is provided.
Carry all the necessary proof for everyone concerned, showing ties in india so that the canadian consulate does not think that the visitor visa is just a way to stay here illegally.
