I am planning to visit Toronto with my family (two kids) in July for one full week. I want to go to Niagara Falls too (may stay 1-2 nights). This is my first visit to Toronto and request some suggestions:

1. What to do/see in Toronto?

2. How to go to Niagara Falls from Toronto (I don't want to drive) and how many days should we stay in Niagara Falls? Should I visit on weekdays or weekends?

3. Is it possible to use Transit/Taxi for going to usual tourist places?

4. Should I consider to buy Toronto Citypass for visiting CN Tower, Zoo, Museum, Science Centre & Casa Loma? Can I visit all these places by transit?

5. Which is a better place to stay in Toronto from following options - Toronto Markham (Brittania Road or N Sheridian Way) / Toronto Airport (Dixon Road) / Toronto North York (Norfinch Road) / Toronto East-Scarborough? Considering location/tourist attraction/transit availability.

6. Any hotel suggestions for Niagara Falls.

7. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

You can get Go train from Union station they have special trains for Niagra in summer. You can also try Greyhound OR Go Bus from their websites.
3-4 of days are enough for Niagara if you want to include Marineland. Keep the day for fall on weekends because on most of the weekends they have fireworks.

In toronto, Transit is good enough between the tourist spots. You can buy day pass of TTC.

That is the best option as it allows 9 days to visit the place and it includes 5 places so cheaper. see http://gocanada.about.com/gi/o.htm?zi=1/XJ&zTi=1&sdn=gocanada&cdn=travel&tm=29&gps=506_178_1276_556&f=00&su=p284.9.336.ip_p531.51.336.ip_&tt=3&bt=0&bts=0&zu=http%3A//citypass.com/city/toronto%3Fmv_source%3Dgocanadaabout" target="_blank">LINK

Toronto Airport or North York would be better which are nearer from Downtown and transit availibility is very good.
