Hi,

What is the current competitive mortgage rate going on in the market for variable 5 years mortgage? I am getting variable 2.25% for 5 years. Is it a good rate?

I have shopped around and haven't got anything less than 2.25. Can someone tell me if anything less than this is available in the market?

Also, what is the best strategy to renew the mortgage? I still have 1.5 years left on my existing mortgage. The issue is I am paying 5.9% interest (fixed) and want to quickly go to the variable route as even with paying the penalty I will be saving a huge amount. Already did all my calculations.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
Although my mortgage is up for renewal in another 5 months , I am shopping around for a good bargain, , currently the best I am in the process of getting a final offer ranges from prime -0.9, and I am asking him to atleast offer me , what Sude Singh has got.

Any one with more better offers pls share your experiences.
