Hi

I completed my one year certificate and now i have one year Post graduate work permit and i got full time permanent job.
so my question is ;

1: Can i apply for PR rite the way?
2: As now i have only 7 months left for my post graduate work permit visa and if i
apply now for my PR it will take around 18 to 20 months so in this case can i extend my visa and what are chances to get work permit extension and what sort of documents needed for extension of work permit.

I will be very much thankful for you if anyone guide me because rite now i am in big trouble should i join the organization or not ?

1. You are eligible to apply for PR if you have atleast one year experience in any one of the 29 occupations listed by CIC. If nit you need to have an Arranged Employment offer ( approved by HRDC) to apply for PR.

2. You can`t get your PG Work Permit extended as it is. However, you can a separate work permit if you have an offer from your employer with positive labour market opinion (LMO) from HRDC.

Looks like you are in Ontario. If so without wasting even one single day .... move to provinces like SK or MN and work for six months so that you will be eligible for PR.

I have Post graduate work permit and according to it i can work for any employer so does it need arranged employment offer and i cannot apply for LMO rite now and employer is ready to help me for LMO but i need what documents are required for LMO and what are chances for approval.

As per Gurram saying this option will not work and will not help me for PR so i should not join the organization and leave for SK

Thanks

My friend ... you are confused.

1. You have one year post graduate work permit and you can work for any employer. No one is saying you should not work.

2. If you want to extend your work permit ... you need LMO from an employer. LMO will be applied by the employer. Through positive LMO you can get work permit.

3. PR process is different. To become eligible

a) you have worked atleast one year ( either in your home country or in Canada) in any one of 29 occupations listed by CIC.

OR

b) You have studied two years in Canada and worked for one year in any occupation

OR

c) You have worked for two years in Canada and continuing your employment and your employer is ready to extend the support

OR

d) You have an arranged employment from any employer approved by HRSDC

OR

e) you are working in provinces like SK or MN for six months (you will be able to apply under provincial nominee program ...).

Please do some research ..... if you do not have time or do not know how to do it consultant an immigration consultant or lawyer. If you do not want to spend money for the consultation, then send me a message .... I may be able to give an advice. Unless I know your total back ground ( academic and work), it is difficult to give a right advice.

Gurram : Thanks for your guidance and help .

I read the CIC website but i am confused a lot . I have two years of experience in IT industry backhome not in 29 occupation list and i got an full time permanent offer letter from my employer on PGWP but i donot know how to approve from HRDC and what documents i need to approve from HRDC and i have 67 points which i calculated so please can you help me in this regard i will be very much thankful to you and on that basis i can take my decision whether to stay here and do full time permanent job which is related to my field or should i go to sask.
