This case study has happened in Mississauga recently.

I heard it from a real estate agent friend of mine.

In early 2000 the area around the location I'll be discussing was quite hot real estate wise and every immigrant from Dubai new this mls area as they wanted to settle down here and send their children to Rick Hansen school.

I recently was discussing with a few real estate agents for scouting around for semi-detached houses around that area.

But my realtor dissuaded me from pursuing that area.

The reason he gave were as follows:

May be others would have more insight into this case.

A group of people had requested the city of Mississauga for piece of land to build a community center near Mavis and Eglinton. It is near the Terry Fox Way and Eglinton near to Rick Hansen School.

The city gave land under the pretext of community center which later was expanded to include a creche and a prayer hall.

This place has now become a full fledged mosque and is in the process of being doubled in size.

The consequence of this is that the whole mls area around this location is gone Islamic. Whenever some one puts up the house for sale it is purchased by a muslim. When you drive on Eglinton on a Friday afternoon you'll find hoards of persons walking towards the mosque for Friday prayers and police even stops traffic to let them cross.

After this experience I heard the City of Mississauga under the leadership of Hazel Mccallion is very careful in terms of giving land for anykind of community centers.

The two issues is that in terms of urban planning the socities are planned to accomodate persons of all cultures and NOT concentration of certain communities. But now concentration of Islamic community is happening in this area and it makes this area an one big Mohallah.

This does not lead to integeration of various cultures but isolation of various religions and cultures.

One could argue the same for Brampton also under the very same topic. But what I gather from talking to various Realtors is that there is trickle starting but which might be an exodus in a few years out of Mississauga by non-Islamic persons to various areas in Brampton.

May be the term of reference of Muslimssauga for Mississauga is quite true.

May be Kafirs need to find places like Brampton, Milton or Orangeville to relocate.

I live in Mississauga..you may be true Muslimssauag but do I care? I am not going to run away because there is one mosque at Eglinton or muslims are living in the area. There is a temple at Mississauga Road, Derry Road, one on Timberlea and another one at Dixie and Midway and list goes on.

I enjoyed the most when India won the World Cup.... I could see their heads hanging down in shame not once but twice (1st in semifinal and then in final). Did you enjoy that in Oshama or Whitby?

Brampton and Milton are now getting more of muslims as property prices are gone out of reach in Mississauga.

Even if muslims keep on reproducing more children in anticipation of child tax benefit but prices in mississauga are beyond that mortgage calculation.

I enjoy watching burkha nashin...some are really beautiful. Free society.. right?

Cannot stop the growth as it is speeding like the Trojan horse all over the world not only in Missisauga. For example in Europe, US and the rest of the world.
