i am a regular visitor of CD,and indeed a good informative site for desi to prepare theirselves to new challanges.here is my query
that i am from pakistan and i got my permanent resident visa last month and i am planning to join my dream country in july. to satisfy my tourist nature i want to take advantage of this travelling to canada,can any one in the forum can list the countries which i can visit on my first journey on PR VISA with out visa requirement on my way to canada. In detail discussion is welcome for the benefit of all desi friends who require this kind of information

I presume when you talk of visiting, it is Europe you have in mind. Being a PR of canada does not absolve you of visa requirements to any of the European countries. It is only after you get Canadian citizenship, that you will not be required to get visa for some European countries.

i presume PR is a new title for landed immigrant. u r "still a citizen of pakistan" and the only difference is that u can come to canada without any hassels but with in a certain time frame, it used to be one year. i don't know if it is still the same.

i raised this quesion becaus i have red in CD about visa exemption for permanent resident and that included swizerland, and also while going through german embassy website i came to know that germany is also an addition in the visa exempted countries list. it was a stir in the calm water now i invite all of u to add name in this list
