Dear Garvo,Blue Lobster and Manan
I understand your concern regarding Legal implications but i m not scared of this company as i have photographs and proofs of another certified carpenter who finished the job in a very professional way but he had to take all the doors out and fix them properly. In fact let this guy call me and i am waiting for him to return all the money I gave him plus more compensation of spoiling my French doors plus the time wasted on hiring a guy like him who doesnt know ABC of carpentry.
I wish i had never hired him. He should be prepared for legal action against him for not finishing the job, wasting my time, and spoiling my doors and frames.
Thanks
Albela
The basement where I was living, a few Desis were hired to do some changes to my room, like adding a small window etc... They were the rudest people I ever seen in Canada. Fortunately I was not paying for the work....

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
Although you have a "privacy policy and terms of use" doc, rather than preventing subscribers from posting their messages as they wish, and editing posts, I suggest that each subscriber sign that "disclaimer" when registering. That will ensure that the administrators and owners of the message boards are not reponsible for the contents of the message and that the user has in fact read and signed the document. In fact that is what most well established message boards do. The disclaimer could also inclusion rules/prohibition of using spam, flaming, posting objectionable or illegal material etc etc.
Just a suggestion. I don't know how technically difficult that would be though.

We've considered all these different options, however there are two factors owing to which we don't and can't allow this.
1) There is no way to establish the authenticity of a claim like this. Its so easy to sign up and post something, anyone can defame anyone for personal issues or minor conflicts. And considering the speed with which membership is growing everyday, this can have an adverse effect on somebody's business.
This would not be ethical, of course.
2) Even if CanadianDesi has disclaimers, people can still initiate legal action against it. Whether this claim will stand in a court of law or not is a different matter, but we can't get mired into those proceedings, we just don't want to go there right now unless we really have to.
------------
At the same time, it is the duty of the site to connect people and allow them to communicate. So the best way to handle this for now would be post a generic complaint and then people who are interested in the same business or service could contact the poster directly for specific details. At least for now, this the model we'll follow, in the future things may be different.
So I would appreciate if everyone understands and complies with this.
Albela, I've edited your post once more, please don't post the name again.
