I have recently bought a house and would be moving in soon. I would appreciate if you guys can help me compile a list of things which need to be taken care of before moving in/immediately after moving in?

I have this in the list:

- Home insurance
- Life/Mortgage insurance
- Utilities transferred to my name from prev owner (Would this be taken care by the lawyer?)
- I assume lawyer will update the info regarding the property tax and we will get the notices in our name

anything else?

I am also looking for the information from the property ownership perspective..like the things I should ask prev owner related to information/documentation (Manuals for the appliances, security system docs etc.) or anything related to property coverage etc.
