It is not that we don’t have mechanism but I guess we don’t have proper intention to plug these issues.
Mumbai generates 30% of total Indian revenue and yet it is the target – we know it is the target and we always don’t do nothing...
We have become recalcitrant to issues.
• Dowry Killings, atrocities on women ( we are 2nd in the world for “worst/unsafe places for women” 1. Somalia 2. India 3. Democratic Republic of Congo 4.Afghanistan and 5. Pakistan)
• 2nd in HIV ( Tirupathi is the future world capital)
• We have a failing bureaucratic system – (87th ) among 178 countries ( Remember A.Raja, Marans and Kanimouzi they fall short to many Politicians not caught)
In all these we have deteriorating Unprotected Border Problems with – Bangladesh
Occupation by : China and Pakistan
Terrorism: Within (SIMI) and Outside Pakistan
I can go on but the fact is any amount of analysis will not save us. Because as long as we don’t put the responsibility on our selves then CHANGE will never take place

Because of some bad apples , the whole community comes under a blame ...
There s no question that majority of Indian Terrorist attacks have been carried out by Muslim terrorists who wish to de stabilize India as they cannot stand a rising majorly Hindu power . A few examples are Akshardham , Parliament attack , 1993 , 26 / 11 and so on .
That being said there are lot of Muslims in Mumbai who would not want a terrorist attack on the city ... Aam aadmi is more worried about his daily needs ...
I echo MKannuri s sentiments ... There has to be a limit to everything - it is not Maharashtra alone which mourns but whole India mourns since Mumbai is the Queen of India ............... How can we prevent it from being bled .............. is the question ??
Bomb Blasts are a very subtle happening going off w/o any one noticing who planted and where .... Tough thing to find a hidden enemy but one thing is certain ......... aam aadmi will have to understand and rise to the occasion if they have concern and wish to prevent this in the future ..... The Police & Admin alone cannot do everything .... The onus will have to be shared by all ... and everyone needs to be cognizant of happenings around ....

Hmm Ususally your posts are most sensible and worth reading. However, it seems that you have borrowed this heavily from MMS.
Aam admi that you worry abot is not at all bothered by the terrorism. It is typical of Indian mentality that unless a family member or a close relative is affected, they are not bothered. Believe me, I called a friend in Ahmedabad after learning the news. He was enjoying his dinner with his family late in night after the blasts. He told that most hotels were full of people enjoying their dinner.
Contrast this with 9/11 when the entire nation was in mourning and trying to help the affected. In Bombay, things would be normal tomorrow.
It si the same aam Admi who elected Kangress a week after 26/11 killings.
Kangress would probably try to blame so called Hindu militants (against whom they have not produced the proof till date).
Rahul Gandhi famously told the USA diplomat that India has more to fear from Hindu militants than Muslim terrorists.
CBI is more interested in taping telephone of private persons like Tata rather than preventing terror.
I think Indians are used to such terror, which is good as well as bad. Bad because Kangress pandering muslims has embolden the terrorists and innocent persons lose their life. Good because terrorist may kill a few innocent people but they cannot force the Govt. to give them concessions. Insensitivity works both the ways.
Like you, there would be many more politicians would come out with the statement that most muslims are peace loving etc.- the usual BS and garbage. The fact remains that no Mulla has ever condemned terrorism or no terrorist has yet been handed over by the muslims to police. Is it difficult to identify the hate mongers preaching in mosque? Till now, I have never heard of a hate monger being handed over to police. It would be interesting to know that majority of peaceful muslims want to live under Sharia law as per the recent survey conducted in U.K. I have not come across such survey in India, probably because for civil matters , Sharia is already applied there. However, this Sharia loving muslims would not go to live in Pakistan. They had that option in 1947 but they chose to remain in India.
The recurring terrorist acts are result of dying Hindu society, which is bent on committing Harakiri. History says that the great civilizations do not die they commit suicide. Hindu are well on their way to it. Civilization, which has lost its vigour and is ashamed of asserting its values, is destined to vanish.
I guess very few people know that very soon a law would be introduced in Parliament which PRESUMES that in any riot, majority, i.e. Hindu would be responsible and provides for collective punishment. There is no sense of outrage or even a squeak from Hindu. What can one expect from them?
One last thing. The terrorist attack was targeted at Hindu and bombs were planted with the intention of maimimg Hindu. They did not plant it in Bhendi bazaar. Kangress would announce a very paltry sum for the victims as most are Hindu. Kangress has always discriminated amongst the Hindu and non Hindu victims. Watch the news to confirm the same.
In the end, I express my condolence to the family members of victim and pray to the God that their soul may rest in peace.

Don't know what you know about history of hinduism ....... but it certainly does not get intimidated by such acts. For more than a thousand years hindus were living under non hindu rule ..... even then they did not die. So you relax and be assured that hinduism have "real" followers who even under adverse conditions have held on to their faith and that too in large numbers. Even today hinduism in a majority relgion in the whole of Indian subcontinent!!!!!
Though i must add there are some weaklings who get intimidated and start crying .... thankfully their numbers are but a few !!!!!!
Its very sad.............My prayers goes to the bereaved families........too much hatred in this world.......I was planning to visit mumbai next year, now i have to think twice.......
