Hi CDs,

I intend to move in shortly and to stay at Ports Hotel with family.

Any advice / past experience on the ports Hotel would be of great help.

A friend of mine had stayed here with her family for more than a month recently and were pretty satisfied . They were also from the Middle East .

We visited them a couple of times and found the area to be good with quite a few pizza joints and coffee shops around .. No Indian restaurants though as PC is largely a whites area .

There s a No Frills grocery store just across the road which is a major convenience . Try & take the side facing the lake .

Do not expect continental breakfast or any other frills but as far as a reasonable furnished hotel room is concerned for 1600 - 1800 / pm ... its great !!

Forgot to add , Square One shopping complex is just a bus ride away ..These guys used the same bus ticket for returning after doing their shopping at S_O ... Mississauga Transit tickets last for 2 hours . You have a Public library also with in 5 mins of walking distance

Try Sheridan conference centre (Google).
This is attached to Sheridan college and has accomodation at many parts of GTA. I used to stay at Brampton location.
You get 2 fully furnished bedroom,1 toilet and 1 kitchen (fridge, MW incl.). You get one whole room. There is a kitchen at each floor.
You get free continental breakfast.
This is near Mavis and Steels. Very near Shoppers world at Brampton.
The rate is around $ 60+ tax a day or $ 1200 (flat) a month. It is a steal at these rates. Since not many know this, many donot know that it is a steal at these rates.
