Hi, I lost my PR card in the US where i am currently working. I have filed a police complaint and emailed the canadian immigration. I have been asked to get a traveling document (single entry) first by them and then come inside Canada. After that i need to apply for my PR card.. My question is do i have to stay all the time until i get my PR card by post inside canada? Or do they ask me to pick up from their centres? as it my traveling document is single entry, this is a BIG Question to me? How much time does it take? Does any of the members have any experience? Any suggestions for my situation?

PR card will be sent in post on your canadian address which you need to provide for PR. it generally takes 6-8 weeks. The card then can be posted to US to you by your known. YOu need not stay back during this time but ofcourse cannot also enter Canada. Take care that photographs which you are providing meets all the set standards.
