From a commercial perspective, here is some info -
All prospective "generators" need to get an approval from the concerned authorities.
After this, they need to get a contract (power purchase agreement) from the OPA.
Only after the PPA is signed, does the province provide cash/tax breaks to the generators.
Current status is that only a smallish fraction of the "generators" have a signed PPA (which has really handsome prices). Fresh/in application PPAs' are not being signed and are being "sat on".
The province is likely to cut heavily on the FIT (feed in tariff or the rate at which they'll buy the electricity) - if they continue with the programme. For those who haven't got a signed PPA - good luck.

I have been thinking about this issue for sometime, yet to come to a decision. The factors which come to my mind are :
1. Is there a lock-in period to have the panel on the roof?
ON COMPANY NAME GRASSHOOPER I CONTACT THEY SAYING 20YEAR LOCK PERIOD
2. Who will be responsible for issues resulting due to faulty installation? What if you have a leaky roof after installation? Besides the roof damage, what about the associated damages due to leakages?
THEY ARE GIVING WARRANTY FOR 3 YEARS IF ANYTHING DAMAGE ON ROOF, THEY FIXED IT.
3. What about the stability of the equipment and the roof during thunderstorms and tornadDO?
ABOUT 100MPH STABILITY FOR SOLAR PANEL
4. How does it effect your home insurance?
I DID NOT ASKED YET TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY
5. Who is responsible for dismantling and re-assembly at time of roof change in future?
COMPANY WILL DISMANTLE AND REASSEMBLE SOLAR PANEL IN EVENT OF ROOF CHANGE IN FUTURE BUT WE WILL NOT GET ABOUT 6 MONTH RENT.
6. How does it effect your prospects of selling your house in future - if you decide to move?
I THINK IT WILL BE POSITIVE POINT FOR SELLING HOUSE?
7. Are the return linked to amount of energy generated? or is it fixed?
FIXED FOR TWENTY YEARS AFTER THIS SOLAR SYSTEM IS YOURS
8. What is your liability towards the cost of the equipment of the installing company goes missing/bankrupt?
WE DONT PAY ANY PENNY, ALL LIABILITY COMPANY TAKES
9. What is the payment guarantee of the installing/leasing company?
WELL IT SAID GUARNTEED BECAUSE THEY ARE GETTING MORE MONEY FOR POWER WHICH GENERATE THROUGH THE SOLAR PANEL FOR 20 YEARS
IF U WANA OWN A SOLAR PANEL AND USED FOR YOUR OWN PERPOSE PRICE OF SOLAR PANEL WILL BE ABOUT 25000 TO 50000$ AS PER YOUR AVAILABLE ROOF AREA.
THIS WAY I THINK WE ARE NOT INVESTING ANY MONEY BUT ATLEAST WE CAN COVER OUR ABOUT MONTHLY HYDRO COST.
ANY MORE SUGGESTION FROM ANYBODY?

I am not in favour of it. As per the preliminary assessment of my house they offer just $500.00 per year or $41.66 per month. If I go and own it. It will costr $50,000.00 and I will earn gross $5,000.00 per year. With out considering the cost for maintenance it will take 10 years to repay my investment. So, I don't find it worth.
