Respected Masoodji,
Remember sometimes back in February 2004, you assured me that by the end of this year we would get PR.
Yes, your words proved like Holy man. We had done our medical in March 2004. Today we received a letter from London asking to pay Right of Permanent Residence Fee and further requested following documents to complete within 60 days. So I need your urgent help for the following:
1. RCMP Police Certificate for my son Firoz who is already in Canada since last year studying his career making course in Aerospace Engineering at Ryerson University –Toronto. So could you please give some detail what is RCMP and how to obtain it from Toronto. My dependent son is in Canada on student authorization visa valid for four years.
2. The embassy sent Immigrant Summary Form to fill All persons 18 years and over. There are seven particular to be filled by each member and very simple like surname, forename ete My question is , only individual has to fill his/her information and sign or all member information to be filled together and sign by individuals.
Thanks and hope to hear you at your earliest convenience.
Mrs. Praveen daruwala
1. I wonder why you didn't provide this earlier. Didn't your consultant tell you this?
Anyway, here's the information:
STEP ONE - HAVE FINGERPRINTS TAKEN AT a LOCAL RCMP DETACHMENT.
A fee will usually be charged for fingerprinting. Firoz needs to bring along PHOTO IDENTIFICATION, such as a passport, and a LETTER FROM THE CANADIAN VISA OFFICE which requests an RCMP fingerprint-based criminal record check.
IMPORTANT: The IMMIGRATION FILE NUMBER from the CHC MUST appear on the fingerprint form. This will ensure that the results of the fingerprint check are matched to hisimmigration file.
STEP TWO - FORWARD FINGERPRINTS TO THE RCMP FOR ASSESSMENT:
Royal Canadian Mounted Police,
NCO IC Civil Section,
Identification Services,
1200 Vanier Parkway,
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, K1A 0R2.
NOTE: The RCMP will send the results of the applicant's criminal record check DIRECTLY TO THE CHC. The normal processing time for a criminal record check is 60 days. ... lately it has gone up to about 4-5 months because of backlogs.
2.
This form must be completed by the principal applicant and all applicants aged 18 years or older.

Dear Masoodji,
I have no consultant nor agent to work for me. I did all paper works my-self and reviewing this lovely forum peacefully for long time.
When I received medicals with waivering of my Business Class interview, your honor were away for long holidays in March-April. I feel very sorry for any inconvenience caused to you.
Again I found that my 2nd question was not clearly asked so I once agin repeat you as per the following:
At the bottom of the page of "The Immigratn Summary Form" they have asked for Signature of Applicant. My question is, does each individual member of my family have to fill separate Summary form for himself/herself and sign at the bottom of the page. Or should All the Data be filled and signed only by the principal applicant.
Please help me in furnishing this information and once again I thank you very much for your prompt response.
Mrs. Praveen Daruwala (Dubai)
Everyone signs.
If someone asks you how you immigrated to Canada. Will you say "Oh, I applied by myself"?

I thank you very much for your quick help. I am sorry for not responding you earlier as I was busy to communicate my son to obtain his RCMP.
Is it possible to get original copy RCMP as our visa office (London) asked to submit this information from my end within 60days.
Thanks,
Mrs.Praveen Daruwala

Masoodji,
O.K. I agree from your foot note that the RCMP will send the results of the applicant's criminal record check DIRECTLY TO THE CHC.
But can't we get duplicate copy to present at CHC as evidence of RCMP done? Result may reach to CHC regardless of 2-3 months time but as the CHC has asked to submit this document within 60 days. So what should we tell to CHC?
Please help.
Further you are saying that I haven't answered your question from your previous post. Do you mean If someone asks me how I immigrated to Canada. Will I say "Oh, I applied by myself"?
In principal Yes, but in view of submitting materials professionally, all credit goes to this Canadian Desi Forum.
Yesterday I have visited Gujarati women Forum and on registering on line by inserting my name Praveen, it repalled bcak. Then I entered my full name Praveen Daruwala and again it refused to register giving message that such name is already registered. I tried with diffrent suffix to my name but all my attempts failed so finally I entered DESI PRAVEEN and it immidiately registered it.
So there is value of Desi Ghee, Desi Antiques, Desi Praveen but without Canadian Desi Lawyer everything payless.
Thanks,
Mrs.Praveen Daruwala
