Just land near Square One area and you will feel like you are in a Cleaner India. Take it from there. There are no shortcuts/quick routes in Canada. You have to work towards it. Unlike immigrants from say 10 years ago, today there are many avenues for new immigrants to network with settled immigrants who can help.

I am sure there must be some forum of dentists where you can get more information related to settlement for a dentist in Canada. Apart from common initial activities there are profession specific stuff which you need to handle when in Canada.

Also It seems not many dentists among the active CDs here. :-) , clearly in case they are successful , they are too busy to be online or otherwise too busy to make thru.

Just see today's star.
http://www.thestar.com/news/article/1078404--one-out-of-10-foreign-doctors-earns-residency-spots?bn=1
Only 1 in 10 int. trained doctors (Not dentists) get a residency spot. While this may seem as a good number out of 10,000 doctors only 1000 doctors get residencey spot. 9,000 donot have the chance to proved themselves.
Even in that, preference may be given to European, South American doctors who are white in colour. Indians and Africans may be the last.
Peace
