I filed PR for my parents in aug 2008. Today I received letter saying i have to fill some forms and submit a documents that say in a check list.

Is this mean my parents will arrive here soon?

They (CIC) are looking to clear the existing backlog, so these forms and checklist are being/will be sent to the parents' sponsonship applicants. I don't know what purpose will it be solved, or if the existing cases will be expedited on this basis.

I too submitted my parents' sponsorship application in October, 2008, but yet to receive any such correspondence. Could you please provide the details as to what these form/checklist contain?

Hi,

Sent for parent sponsporship application on December 17, 2007.

Received a letter stating that your application was received a few months later in 2008.

I sent several letters updating my address and received one letter from them in 2010 about the same.

And now this:


In continuation to my earlier postings, I received the following letter by mail from CIC today:

It states that I need to submit a whole checklist within 90 days as they are ready to process the sponsporship application.

It has 10 points and it includes photographs and other requirement and has to be submitted within 90 days.

They also want the pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fees and get the PCC.

What does this letter mean?.

Have they approved the sponsporship or they want to have all the documents and forward them to NewDelhi if they approve the sponsporship?.

Your thoughts and inputs.

It has asked us to fill the forms like
IMM 0008
IMM 5669
IMM 5406
and with photo etc to Mississauga location.

What a coincidence. Even I had submitted the application in Aug 2008 and just now received this mail. Bit confused but what else can be done..just fill the form and submit it while getting additional information from CIC.
