My daughter is planning to join for her MBBS degree this year in India. As our immigration is still under process and hopefully we will be able to land by mid-next year, my daughter will not be able to stay in Canada for 2 years out of the first five years as her MBBS course will take 6 years to complete.

Please advise how can I bring her back into Canada after she looses her PR status.

Hi,
Why dont you think on these lines.....
Take your daughter with you to canada and let her do here MBBS in Canada......She will be better off for jobs and future in Canada as well as for india or any other part of the world....
Of course this might not be the answer to your question, just a humble suggestion.
Decision is yours....

My daughter is completing her 12th standard this year, but our canadian visa will be in hand only by next year.

If I put her in a canadian university, I will have to enroll her as an international student and not as a PR and the fees will be very high.

Can we enroll her as an international student and once we get her PR, can we change her to a Permanent resident student.

Suppose we enroll her in an Indian medical school, after 6 years of education, how will we bring her back to Canada - what type of visa etc. etc.

Hi Kuwait user
I do not have the answer to your questions, perhaps someone else on the forum could help you.
Getting an admission in any Canadian Medical school will take time, so perhaps your daughter should already start researching with some Medical Schools in Canada. I think if you have to wait even for one year for your daughter to study in Canada, she would still be far better off than studying in India. I have been in Canada for some time and know the importance of having local education especially for doctors.....and believe me these doctors make upto 500000 dollars a year gross in the late parts of their careers
I hope someone else on the forum will help you with your other questions.

I agree with Faisal ,

If u r vying 4 a Canadian life ahead Candian Education will put u @ a distinct advantage , not only in Canada but worldwide .

Yes Higher ed is exhorbitant both in Canada as well as the US but look upon it as an Investment if u can manage the moolah which judging by ur username I guess u can :p .

2 get Admission in a leading Univ /School 1 needs 2 start early so tell ur daughter 2 check @ diferent Institutions in Canada and start applying 4 them --- who knows she may get a scholarship also .

M sorry cant help u much on the other details though . But on a longer prospective a definite winning choice .

Manasvi

PS : BTW 2 maintain PR status 1 needs 2 stay 4 only 2 years / every 5 in Canada

KuwaitUser... You can do the following :-

1.) You will take a student visa for your daughter and enroll her in a school for her B.A.Sc in Biology. That is a 3/4 year course. Initially you will have to enroll her as an international student

2.) IN this manner she will be in Canada. Now, when you get your Landed Immigration papers... ask her to fly back to Kuwait and all of you can come and land in Canada as Landed Immigrants.

3.) The day you become a LI, you will go and report this fact to the school where she is studying. The fees will automatically come down.

4.) YOu cannot get admission to a medical school unless you have finished some biology course. Then you have to take the MCAT exam ( the medical equivalent of the GRE). ONly then will she get admission to a med school. By that time you would have got your citizenship as well

5.) She will become eligible for all sorts of Govt. scholarships etc. once she is a Landed Immigrant ! (of cos that depends on how good her grades are)

Hope this information helps
