Can we land in Toronto and give Vancouver's address for mailing PR cards

Hello all

My wife and I are due to land in Toronto in Jan 2012.

After going through a few threads I understand that while landing, we shall have to provide an address to which our PR cards will be mailed.

We dont know where we will be staying when we land in Toronto. We will have that detail finalised before we leave, but it might be a temporary accomodation to begin with until we find a suitable, more permanent place. Hence, we will not have a Toronto address to give to the Immigration Officer at landing.

We do have friends in Vancouver who are happy for us to give their address but will it be accepted by immigration? or can it cause issues snce we are landing in Toronto but proving a Vancouver address for mailing PR cards??

Will having an onward journey ticket to Vancouver help?

Your input is much appreciated.

It shouldn't matter where the address is from. You can land in Toronto & give Vancouver (or any Canadian) address.. They don't care- specially if you are coming as PErmanent Resident

Make sure the address you give is valid for atleast six months so that there will not be any problem for receiving mail.
