During last few days Bay ran one day only special promotions. On one of those days, there was an offer of 25% off on watches. So I purchased one Seiko watch for $106. After 3-4 days they had another promotion which said 40% off on Citizen, Seiko and some other brand watches. I immediately went online and purchased same watch again as for such sales it immedialtely gets sold online. Price adjustment to previous order would have taken some time. When both the watches arrived I compared my both orders and was bit surprised to see that I actually paid $113 when the sale was for 40% off ($106 when 25% off). In other words, I paid 7 bucks extra when sale was for 40% off than the price I paid for when the sale was for 25% off. Seems little price manipulation or questionable marketing strategy.....
Very interesting ... In most these sale events like 70% off or 80%0ff, we make some saving but not to the extent they make us believe.
shipping handling ?
Trick is they dont tell 25 % or 40% off is on what amount.
25% off on 140 = 40% off on 175 both gives price 106 !!!!.
Sieko watch price range =140-175 CADs.
Welcome to the SALE politics of business houses ! Next time you see the SALE board , laugh back at it or get conned , choice is yours.
They are'nt snatching nothing !

The explanation that I received was somewhat matches with that of San Hugo's. The response was that when there was 25% off..the watch was on clearance whereas after couple of days it was not on clearance so for 40% off you pay more ...oh well..no matter what the sale is..the price will always be same .
