How about kids education (with OCI status), specially higher education.
I mean university, etc.. do they qualify for the same kind of fee - as Indian citizens or do they have NRI fees

Thanks Fido for your kind words.
To the question of if I got the ration card, the answer is No as though I am eligible for it, I have not taken it. But I have my Govt. gas connection. The new rules are that above the poverty line people can book 12 gas cylinders a year only (at the rate of 1 per month at the minimum).
peace

If u want to return to india.. u should aim for a mgmt job.. which is easier than doing grunt work..

Look at getting a MBA degree from canada before u return.. This will give u a good footing to jump into a mgmt position.

Ryersons has a part time mba under 20K.. In india even a bad college charges that much..

Dude,
I think you donot know much about Vandematraram.
He had a degree from the USA and a Canadian citizenship. That is his plus point.
He is one of the leading figures in the world for his field of specilalization.
India does not need MBA's and all. You must be street smart and must know how to play politics.
In my work place, all the people chat family stories, be on the internet, listen to music, come late , go early, take 3 or 4 coffee / snack breaks etc.. So you need to push them.
MBA's are all for Americans and Canadians not for working in India. It pays to study MBA in the developed world and not here.

Hope this is a good piece of advise. Kumar M to please advise.

Peace

My eldest Brother-in-law retired from ONGC as a DGM and is consulting with them. My uncle retired from BHEL as a DGM, is overseeing operations of three small industries and both are compensated well enough.

The former appears to resemble your background.

Another distant relatives works in Petro-chemicals in middle east. He is literally stationed in oil fields but works for just about 4 weeks and get next 4 week paid off including a paid travel to home country, he is in his late 60s, a lot of his colleagues are from west.

Presumably, your contacts with Reliance Petrochemicals could be handy to analyze something on that route.

Even here, there are people who do contracts with refineries or its related business, while their clients are mostly in Alberta, they work from Ontario design facilities. Talking to them, I see that their contracts are often volatile, it oscillates in accordance with the oil price. They had much better time in the past...

Was the above post meant for Vandemataram or Desi_Driller?
I am confused.

Peace
