Hello,
My 2 cents. If it is of any help, let me tell you my 2011 timeline. Applied on 1/Feb/2011, got confirmation on last week of March saying it is moved to New Delhi, India. Around second week of May, my wife got a request to courier the passport. Unusually, the passport processing and Visa stamping took like three weeks or more. My wife only received her passport back around 1 or 2 of June. I flied her back on 3rd June.
Your case takes within or utmost 6 months, solid, I guess. I am sorry if it is discouraging. Also I applied from Calgary. I am not sure if Mississauga is going to make a difference. But after being transferred to New Delhi, all timelines converge.
When it took more than 3 weeks in May for New Delhi to process my wife's passport to stamp the visa, I contacted them. It is no wonder the telephone clerk (who picked it up after umpteenth time of several days attempt) had no clue of my case or what the status is. I was about to contact my local MLA but then the passport came up at that time. My point is, you always have accountable options from here when things get real frustrating. But dont let yourself down getting frustrated by underestimating the time line. If it is faster well and good, but just bear the reality in mind.
Some of my colleagues from Pakistan waited/still waiting as the time taken for them is 24 to 36 months. I just took this as a consolation, hope this helps you.
Hi All,
Let's make this a tracking thread for all of us. So we know how much time is it taking at present.
I sent an application for my Spouse on 19th March.
Awaiting reply from CPC. I know I won't hear anything until 2nd or 3rd week of May.
Would also like to request everyone who applied in last 6 months or so to keep everyone else posted about the developments.
Regards,
Vishal
